18 months old

My baby is growing up so fast. I cant believe he is already 18 months old. It feels like yesterday he was born and hard to believe I will be planning his 2nd birthday in just a few months. He is doing so many things and is very independent. Doug and I still get "no" ALOT. We call him "repeat" because that is all he does is repeat what we say or do. The other day he was pumping out my bath and body lotion and rubbing it on his face with the sound effect of "ooohhh". For the record I have no idea where he got that from because I do not do that when I put my lotion on. Nathan loves to help you with whatever you are doing. When we go to the grocery store he helps unload the groceries onto the conveyer belt. I just love this age and I thank God everyday for him!!!!!
Hopefully, this weekend I can get caught up on my pictures. I have pictures from New Years to Snow, I just have to find time to do it. I promise I will get them posted soon.

New Years Day

Me being superstitious, we went to nana's to eat black eyed peas, turnip greens, ham and conbread. It was all so good.

New Years 2008

We spent New Years over at Dougs brothers house and had the best time. We had our own bartender and all kinds of food. There was a poker game going, some ping pong and a little dancing. We watched fireworks as it turned 2008.

Update on Nathan

Yesterday at 3:30 his temp hit 104.9 and I loaded him up and to the doctor we went. They really could not tell me why he was running a temp because his ears nose and throat looked fine. The only other symptom was his cough. They sent us for a chest xray and gave him a rosefiv shot, Dr Mays said she would call me in the morning after they looked at the xray. This morning his temp was 98.8 and I sent him to daycare. Once I got to work Dr. Mays called and said that it looks like he has fluid on his lungs and it is the beginning stages of nuamonia and got on to me for sending him to daycare. I felt like the worst mom in the world. She is putting him on augmentin for the bacteria in his chest. I have called and checked on him and they said that he is running around with the other kids and having a great time. Also, he started a new class today and is officially a big boy. He will no longer be in a high chair or a crib, he will eat at a table and sleep on a cot. Me being the dork that I am, I had to capture all of it by taking pictures this morning. I sat him down at the table with his breakfast and he looked like he had been doing forever. I sent a disposable camera so that I can have pictures of what he does during the day and of his daycare buddies. I just cant believe my baby is all grown up. I am having a hard time with it.

Nathan is sick

It started friday afternoon, daycare called and said he was running a fever of 101 and would not eat or drink. I went and picked him up and to the doctor we went. He checked out fine, Dr Walley said it looked like a throat virus (I have never heard of that). Since Friday our fever has not broken. Sunday it got up to 104.2, I gave him some motrin and put him in the bath to cool him down and waited for the nurse to call me back. She said to make sure he gets liquids, he wets a diaper in an 8 hour period and as long as his temp does not go over 105. Well it is monday and our fever has yet to break. I am really worried about my little man. All he is doing is sleeping.

I had too

You know how I have said Nathan loves to wear our shoes. Well, he found my heels. Thank god my camera was close because this was just a must have. Doug did not believe me when I told him he was walking in high heels today. I had proof.

Concentrate

I had never payed attention until Doug said something. When Nathan is concentrating he sticks his tongue out. Doug also does that and I thought it was funny. When he is playing with his tools, he is in his own world and really concentrates on it.

Into everything

This boy likes to play with everything but his toys. I was trying to put some of his baby stuff in boxes to put in the attic. Of course as I am trying to put up he is dragging out. The bottom pictures are him playing with my excercise ball. I am just glad to see someone is getting use out of it.

Last stop was Doug's mom house

We made it to mawmaw's house to eat dinner. As you can see everyone was having fun and got all kinds of stuff. The bottom pictures are what Pam bought Nathan and Dalton. It is a silver F-150 with personalized tags on the back and AU/AL tags on the front. I thought they were too cute. I think the big boys had more fun driving the little boys around in it because at first Nathan did not understand and could hardly reach the gas. He diffinately knows how to make it go now.

My dad's side Christmas Day

We went to my Aunt Sandra's for lunch Christmas Day. Got to play dirty santa which I love. I walked away with a $15 goody's gift card and Doug got a Itunes gift card. Nathan of course did not leave empty handed, he got a truck. We really had alot of fun.

we tried

I want to start a tradition where we get our picture in our pajamas in front of the tree on Christmas morning. This was our attempt.

Santa came to our house

Well Santa finally came and left Nathan all kinds of toys. As you can see Santa was good to Nathan and Nathan loved all of it. If anyone is wondering why he is naked. He did have on some really cute snowman pajamas but we had a bad diaper so they had to go. I finally caught him in between toys and put on the red ones. He was very busy as you can see. When he saw the jeep wagon put together, he took his tools that santa brought and was tightening all the loose bolts that Santa may have over looked. I know I said my dad bought it but he had not seen it together yet and so I cheated and put it under the tree.

My gift from my husband

Doug could not wait and gave me my gift christmas eve. It was a complete surprise. I got a Digital Canon Rebel XTI with two lenses and the big bag. I am so excited about it but just have to figure out all the functions. I think I will have to take a class on it because it has ALOT of options. The color on it really pops. My husband's goal is for me to start taking my own pictures. I would love to start taking pics on the side. I will do all my practice on Nathan for right now.

Christmas Eve

We did Christmas Eve with my mom and dad. Nathan really got so much he did not know what to play with. He diffinately has the unwrapping part figured out. Aunt A bought him a Mega Playland and for some reason that is what we opened first and you cant just tear the paper off without opening the box. It took up the whole living room. My dad bought him a Jeep Wagon which was really cool. It has the big offroad tires and a spare tire on the back that says Jeep. My mother bought him a basketball goal, but we did not open that b/c there was no room too. I got a jewelry box from my mom and lamps for my living room from my dad. It was a great christmas.

What did Daddy bring home.....

While we were at my grandmothers, Doug got a call from his Uncle Glenn asking if we wanted a DOG. He said it is part poodle and jack russell (I know that does not sound real cute). Let me go ahead and say that I am not ready for a puppy and if I was to get one I want it to be what I want, not just some free puppy. Anyway, Doug told him we would come by and look at it. Doug has really wanted to get Nathan a dog. When he sees a dog or hears it, he goes "woof woof" or "puppy". Well, me and my dad had to go to the grocery store and I had actually forgot about the dog. Until I got home and Doug had went to get it with out me. I was willing to give the dog a chance. To make a story short. Chloe (what we named her) stayed with us over Christmas and she had to go back. She was a VERY hyper dog and I had to be Cruella Devile (that is what doug calls me now) and say she could not stay. They did have other families that wanted her, so I did not feel so bad about it.

Christmas at Mimi's

We went to Mimi's Sunday before christmas. At mimi's, she is the only one that gets presents. This year she did buy for the babies and the older kids got cookies and candy. Nathan got a soccer ball and had a blast with it. He likes to throw anything (at me most of the time). He is really becoming mean. When I pop him on the hand or leg, he either pops me back or copies me and pops himself where I did. I want to laugh but I am trying to be stern.

Mimi's house

After christmas at doug's dad house we rode over to my Mimi's to help my get everything ready for mimi's christmas on Sunday. Allyson and I baked cookies while Nathan got into everything possible. He is such a mess and keeps me very busy.

Loving the banana

Now you see the banana

Now you don't

Nana had given him a banana and he was eating on it bite by bite. Aunt A went to pick him up and I guess he did not want to lose it so he cramed the whole thing in his mouth.
