Eye doctor checkup

Since Nathan was a preemie and was in the NICU we have to go see the eye doctor every six months. Well yesterday was our 2nd checkup and he got a great report. Our last visit was not so promising b/c he was showing early signs of far sightedness and a lazy eye. The doctor wanted us to watch him very closely and make sure he was using both eyes. I was very worried about this. Dr Cogen said yesterday, that we was no longer showing these signs and was looking really great. He asked me how his hand/eye coordination was and I thought it was great. Which Dr Cogen agreed with me about his coordination. He wants to see him again in 9-12 months and if Nathan is still doing great we will not have to go back. I want to mention how great Dr Cogen at the Callahan Eye Foundation is with kids, plus he raved about how good of a patient Nathan was. Nathan just sat and let him check his eyes like a big boy. I was so proud of him.

THE BEAST

Well those of you who would never in the world believe that you could turn a camaro into a rock crawling beast, here is proof. Dougs dad has been working on this, well it seems like forever. It has finally come to life. They took an old camaro body and put it on a 4 wheel drive truck frame. I have come to the conclusion that the Stell Boys can build anything.

Happy 1st Birthday Peyton

This past Saturday went to our neice Peyton's 1st Birthday, where she was the princess of the castle. She got so many gifts but I think her favorite was the tent with balls in it. As far as her birthday cake went, she did not waste any time digging in. "Who says girls cant get dirty"

As for Nathan, well he slept through half the party. I guess when you sleep till 9:30 in the morning you are going to take late naps.

We went to over to Tiffany and Mason's house weekend before last. The boys always get into something when they are together. This time it was the fireplace ashes. They did have a bucket and shovel and what better place to use it then the fireplace.

Nathan just had to take his sucker to bath with him. PLEASE, no one call the health dept on me. I know it was not very sanitary but at my house you have to pick your battles.

I thought I had posted this picture. My child likes to push his diaper down in the back to where it is almost coming off. He will soon figure out how to get it off and then I am in trouble.

18 Month checkup

Well we got a great report at our 18 month checkup. Nathan weighs 24.11 and is 33 inchs in height. Dr Walley said that he is in the 75-95 percentile for height. I am not surprised considering doug is 6'5. We are right on track as far as talking and everything. I meant to get a picture of Nathan and Dr Walley but forgot my camera. We also went to see Dr. Lejeune for our tube checkup and we got a good report. He said in 6 months they should fall out. Hopefully we will not get anymore ear infections after they come out. If so I am all for them putting them back in.

DADDY'S BOY

Visiting with MawMaw

We went to eat lunch with MawMaw and PawPaw Steve. While we were there Nathan tried on all of Mr. Potato Heads gear and pulled down Mawmaw curtains, of course mawmaw did not care. Although I,m sure Mr. Potato Head did care that someone else was wearing his stuff.

Moving Mimi

Mimi is officially moved to the oaks assisted living. Everyone showed up to help make her studio as cozy as her house was. We all had alot of fun and Nathan helped in every way. He even took the time to visit with her neighbors. He wanted to make sure Mimi was in good hands. From what I hear Mimi has made alot of friends and has all kinds of stuff to do.

Mimi's House

Our visit at mimi's house is always so much fun. Nathan got to visit with his cousin Cooper which is Jared's little boy. He is 5 months and such a chunk. In the bottom picture Aunt A was giving Nathan something he was not supposed to have. He knew he was caught. Oh well, I guess that is what aunts are for.
